Alex Gibbs, CMO, The WIne Society

Alex is a senior leader with expertise in consumer retail marketing, innovation and sales leadership which drives unique customer experiences with brands. His career to date has seen him lead and develop high performing teams across a range of digital businesses which include liquor, wine, beer, government, banking, membership associations, professional services, education, IT, and hospitality. Most of Alex s
roles have been focused on developing an innovative team culture which ultimately creates new positive customer experiences.

His current role as the Chief Marketing Officer at The Wine Society is responsible for the omni-channel digital business in a very competitive marketplace. In this role he is responsible for the customer experience across eCommerce, traditional retail stores as well as the strategy and innovation program which underpins the digital businesses growth.

Alex also sits on a number of Boards, Industry Groups and Advisory Boards (including an Entrepreneur Panel). His favourite wine to drink is Chardonnay and his preferred craft beer style is a hoppy Indian Pale Ale.
